Experienced researchers at the Carnegie Institution for Science have spent years refining this database, which also takes advantage of Bluetooth barcode scanner capabilities to decrease the number of human errors, making the FinCensus® extremely efficient. The FinCensus® will help you focus on your experiments, not record-keeping.

Stock Records
- Each stock record provides useful data such as tank locations, mutations, recent use and dead fish reported at a glance.
- Keep track of stock, users and caretakers; keep notes with photos and attachments.
- Access a list of all stocks from within any stock record and sort by stock number, birthdate, caretaker or stock name, or use our Instant Search.
Tank Records
- Tank records show positions specific to your facility.
- Review data on dead fish and problems reported; keep IVF Journals with photos and more within each tank record.
- Access a list of all tanks from within any tank record and sort by tank name, size, stock number or caretaker.
Mutation Records
- Mutation records provide a convenient summary of each mutation's defining characteristics, such as date discovered, name given, transgenic construct (if applicable), ISH phenotype, morphological phenotypes and stocks with the mutation. You can even add up to 4 images of the mutant stock.
- Inactive mutation records are never removed from the system, so future record searches will still find that data.
Employee Records
- Set up employee records for different labs or groups, if desired.
- Keep all important information on each employee.
- Full employee records can only be viewed by an admin.
- Set employees′ permission levels within the software.
